Hey all, new storm guy here. First 1200 miles under my belt. Love the bike, love it. Im looking to change the bars and grips. Just looking for advice. Bars are 1" right?
Standard harley size. Grips, who makes a grip with the throttle tube installed, or do i just slice the old grip off? Looking to go with a more straight, drag bar like z bar.
The standard grips are extremely hard, would like something a little more cushy.
Thanks all.

Fitted a set of Arlen Ness Deep Cut Chrome grips, sourced from Indian/Victory dealer, part No: M-1052, they come with spacer for the lateral movement.
T bars are on my list.

Ditto on the Arlen Ness...but for your Storm, go with the deep cut blacks. I have a pick here someplace.

My Iso grips only lasted three months before breaking a piece out of the slot where the pull cable locates, this I believe was caused from that sharp edge in the throttle housing, since modified with a dremel type tool. I repaired the grip a while back which is holding , now just waiting for Mat to tool up for his design in alluminium.

Ummm...not to my knowledge. The Arlens I have are for a Star (Yamaha) cruiser.

No, Harley grips are different, you need metric grips.

Hey Jumbo,
Are you the guy that has the tricked out Speed trip and went to E.T. with Mike over the long weekend on the blacked out storm?

If so I'm the guy with the silver T"bird that showed you the Avon grips on my bike at the hotel!

Cheers!

Bruce
